What does the Treatment Involve?

On your first appointment we will carry out a Spinal Assessment,this involves using the hands on the spine to find out exactly where the misaligned joints are,we dont use expensive MRI,or other electronic devices,but we do reccommend an X-Ray if we feel you need further investigations.
We will also measure leg length and assess your posture and the way you walk,looking at the shoes and how these are worn,as this all indicates pelvic misalignment problems.
After the Spinal Assessment we will carry out the treatment.

The treatment involves correcting SUBLUXATIONS (Joint misalignments)in your spine,using gentle pressure on the joint while doing simple movements,like swinging your leg or arm,while the practitioner gently guides the joint back into position,we call it'Correction in Motion'
This simple principle of movement and pressure is akin to getting sand through a sieve,only by shaking the sieve,the sand falls through the net.You can see this on the Video on the Home Page.

CHIROPRACTIC VS THE DORN METHOD.

Both Methods have the same target-To Align the Spine and joints.
BUT in The Dorn Method the corrections to the Spine takes place in MOVING ACTION,NOT in a Static position,ie-lying on a couch whilst the moves are completed,usually the muscles are tense and need to be overcome and the patient is often quite tense since the treatment is done to you and NOT WITH YOU.In The Dorn Method we ask you to move the body ,creating a flowing movement and gentle pressure.NO CRACKS,OR UNCOMFORTABLE POSTIONS.

How long does the Treatment Take?

On the first session it will take about 1 hour,subsequent treatments will vary.
